8 PRACTICES TO GET THROUGH CHALLENGING TIMES

Life can be tough, sometimes things just don't go as we plan. For some people, it's super easy to just bounce back and move on. Here are some things you can do to help yourself handle any situation that may arise, pick yourself up and move on.

1. Embrace Change

Change is constant, it's natural for people to want to resist it due to the comfortableness of the things we know. However, it is better to embrace change rather than fight it. You need to understand that change can bring new opportunities. Don't dwell on what you've lost or what used to be but adapt and find the silver lining in every situation. You need to be flexible and open-minded to be able to handle the changes in your life with a positive attitude.

2. Administer Self Care

Neglecting yourself can often make you end up feeling drained. It is not selfish, but essential, to make time for yourself to be able to stay strong in difficult situations. Having a quiet morning coffee, taking a walk in the park, or spending some time reading your favorite book are ways to find a little peace and time to yourself. Think of it as recharging your batteries to have the energy and right mindset to tackle whatever may come your way.

3. Accepting Imperfections

You may sometimes feel overwhelmed by your mistakes. You need to remember that nobody is perfect. Come to terms with your flaws, accept them, and don't try to hide them or pretend they don't exist. Imperfections are what make us human. Learn from your mistakes to become stronger.

4. Reaching Out for Support

People who stay strong know they can't face everything alone. Don't be afraid to reach out to friends and family and ask for help in difficult situations. Sharing your burdens doesn't mean that you are weak, just human. Surrounding yourself with people who can support and comfort you will give you the strength to face anything.

5. Accept Failures as Lessons

Sometimes failing can be very overwhelming, but it is actually a teacher in disguise. Instead of seeing your defeat as a dead end, look at it as a valuable lesson. Reflect on the things that went wrong, learn from the mistakes, and try to do things differently next time for a better outcome. Life is not about never failing, but about never giving up.

6. Be Grateful

It is very easy for us to focus on what is missing from our lives and what we don't have, instead of everything we have and should be thankful for. Focusing on what you have and being grateful for it will contribute to a positive mindset.

7. Relinquish Control

Stop trying to control every detail of your life or try to predict every single outcome. Learn to accept that you can't control everything that is going to happen. If you are facing a difficult situation or things are not going as you thought they would, stop, take a step back, breathe, and have faith that everything will work out in the end.

8. Seek Challenges

Humans are programmed to aim for things that make them comfortable and avoid all things that can make them uneasy. Growth, however, doesn't happen in your comfort zone. It's important to try and take on challenges, learn new skills, face your fears, and push yourself to be able to grow and be ready for all of life's twists and turns.

Remember, resilience is key, stay strong and aim for the light at the end of the tunnel.
